Semi tractor-trailer jackknifes, blocking all lanes on northbound I-15
SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A semitractor trailer was jackknifed while traveling northbound on Interstate 15 Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Sig Alert. The incident was first reported at around 06:00 in the morning.

Caltrans reported that all lanes were closed just south of Interstate 8 due to the crash. CHP noted that traffic was being diverted onto eastbound and westbound I-8.

The front of the semi-tractor-trailer struck the side wall, but the driver was able to exit the vehicle on his own, CHP said. It is not yet known whether the driver was injured in the accident.
Cleanup operations are ongoing. A timeline for reopening traffic lanes was not immediately provided.
