Man kidnapped at Florida McDonald’s: Police pursuit across cities leads to 5 arrests, including minors; here’s how the crime unfolded and police nabbed suspects

The incident occurred at 1:24 pm on Thursday, November 13, 2025, approximately 10 miles outside of Fort Lauderdale. After kidnapping the man, the group drove the unnamed victim to a location in the 700 block of Northwest Ninth Avenue in Fort Lauderdale and forced him out of the vehicle, Davie police said. The victim was then shot, found someone to call 911 and report that he had been kidnapped, according to CBS News.
“He ran away, stopped a person in the area, and called 911 to report that he had been abducted from Davie,” a DPD spokesperson said, according to WPLG. Davie and Fort Lauderdale police, as well as Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies, began a chase to catch the suspicious group.
Police said the victim tracked the vehicle using GPS on his phone, CBS News reported. They were pursued to Pompano Beach, where they crashed into a utility pole and fled the scene. The suspect group’s white SUV crashed into the pole. Police said the suspects then fled the scene on foot.
Suspects identified
The suspects were identified as three adults: 30-year-old Tracey Ross, 18-year-old Lamar Perry and 18-year-old Timothy Brown, according to CBS News and WPLG. They were arrested and detained. Reports suggested that two minors were also taken into custody and transported to the county’s juvenile assessment center.
Accusations against suspects
Ross was charged with kidnapping a victim, causing bodily harm or terrorizing, fleeing at high speed and resisting an officer, CBS Miami reported. Perry is charged with kidnapping, causing bodily harm or intimidation to a victim, motor vehicle theft, resisting a police officer, possession of a firearm by a minor and burglary.

Brown was charged with kidnapping, causing bodily harm, or terrorizing the victim, but CBS Miami reported that his role in the incident is unclear at this time. Several members of the suspects’ family spoke in court, including Brown’s mother. “I’ve never seen my son get in trouble or do anything like that,” she said, according to WPLG. “I don’t know who he was with or what happened. So I’m still in shock.”
