David Carrick, ex-Met officer, is guilty of more sexual offences

Serial rapist and former Metropolitan Police officer David Carrick has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl and her former partner.

The 50-year-old man, from Stevenage, who had already been sentenced to life imprisonment, was found guilty of abusing the girl in the late 1990s and raping her more than 20 years later.

The jury at the Old Bailey found him guilty of nine counts and he will be resentenced at a later date.

Carrick already service Pleaded guilty to 71 counts of sexual violence committed over a 17-year period and sentenced to at least 32 years in prison.
