Kate’s gorgeous in green! Princess dazzles in a velvet gown as she and Prince William arrive at star-studded Royal Variety Performance

The Prince and Princess of Wales made a dazzling entrance to the Royal Variety Performance tonight.
The couple joined stars at the Royal Albert Hall in London for the annual charity event, which senior members of the Royal Family took turns supporting.
William and Catherine walked outside the main entrance of the building; The princess looked elegant in a full-length green velvet evening gown. The prince was a stylish man in black tie.
It was a rare joint ‘black tie’ evening for the couple after William attended the Diplomatic Corps reception at Windsor Castle last night alone.

Hosted by Jason Manford, the evening will feature theatre, comedy and music, with a special performance from composer Tom Fletcher’s Paddington The Musical.

There will also be a performance to celebrate the show’s 40th anniversary, featuring members of the West End and Paris cast of Les Misérables, including Michael Ball, Matt Lucas and Killian Donnelly.
Stars Jessie J and Laufey are also on the bill for the 98th Royal Variety Show.
The prince and princess will meet a number of artists and charity representatives before taking their seats for the show. This is their sixth time participating.
A spokesman for the charity said they were ‘thrilled’ by the announcement.
The Royal Variety Charity supports members of the entertainment industry by supporting people who have worked or are currently working professionally in the entertainment industry but need financial and other support through a nationwide grants programme.
In 2024, the charity established a mental health initiative to help individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, addiction and other mental health issues, which are often exacerbated by financial instability and the unpredictable nature of employment in the entertainment industry.
It also continues to run a residential care home, Brinsworth House, in Twickenham, south-west London; Those who worked in the entertainment industry here enjoy life with like-minded people in the last years of their lives.

The first Royal Variety Performance was held at the Palace Theater in London in 1912, attended by Their Majesties King George V and Queen Mary.
The last show was held in 2024 at the Royal Albert Hall in the presence of His Majesty the King, Patron of the Royal Variety Charity.
William and Catherine last attended in 2023.
