Man steals car as 15mo baby sleeps in back seat in supermarket carpark
Police are looking for a man who stole a car with a sleeping baby in the back seat from a supermarket car park.
The red Volkswagen was parked in the car park on Maude Street in Shepparton in northern Victoria.
The sleeping 15-month-old baby was left in the backseat while the victim ran into the store last Friday.
Police said the thief then drove the car out of the parking lot. When he realized the baby was in the backseat of the car, he put the baby in a box and left it in the parking lot.
The car was later found in Mooroopna.
Officers have released images of a man they believe will assist with investigations.
It is stated that the attacker is 165 centimeters tall, between 20 and 30 years old, and of slim build.
He wore a black-backed cap, dark blue headphones, a blue Golden State basketball tank top, black shorts, light blue running shoes, and black sweatbands on both wrists.
