More Relatives Head To Saudi To Perform Last Rites

Hyderabad:Five more members of the family of the pilgrims who died in the tragic bus accident in Medina will travel to Saudi Arabia early on Thursday to perform the last prayers of the deceased.

According to Telangana State Haj Committee officials, the government has made arrangements, including renewal of passports, for family members to travel. One person’s visa has just been issued.

An official of the Hajj Committee said the passports of the family members were renewed with the help of the Hyderabad Regional Passport Office on Wednesday. The plane is planned to depart for Medina around 03:00.

Mansuf Ali, son of the late Şevket Ali, said, “Four members of my family lost their lives in the accident. While my brother’s son was going to Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, my trip was postponed due to the problem with the passport that was re-issued after the documents were duly verified. I will go to Saudi Arabia on Thursday.”

Shaik Ibrahim, brother-in-law of the sole survivor, said Shoaib was responding to treatment and recovering. Our uncle’s son came yesterday, and after confirmation, I am leaving too.

Wajeed, the relative of the 18 members who died in the accident, said that Farhana Sultana’s late brother Shaik Abid was also going to Saudi Arabia and another brother also reached there.
