Video: Tejas fighter jet plane crash caught on cam; watch here
The IAF has confirmed that Hindustan Aeronauticals Ltd’s Tejas aircraft crashed during a demonstration at the Dubai Airshow at Al Maktoum International Airport on the last day. The pilot also suffered fatal injuries.
According to local media reports, the fighter jet crashed immediately after takeoff at around 14.10 local time.

In addition, photos and videos shared on the internet show black smoke rising into the air from the plane on the ground.

What did IAF say?
Confirming the incident in a post on X, the IAF said a tribunal of inquiry has been set up to determine the cause of the fatal crash.
“An IAF Tejas aircraft encountered an accident during the air show at the Dubai Air Show today. The pilot suffered fatal injuries in the accident. IAF is deeply saddened by the loss of life and stands with the bereaved family in this hour of grief. A court of inquiry is being constituted to ascertain the cause of the accident,” IAF said.
According to Gulf News, the show was temporarily stopped and visitors were directed back to the exhibition area.
