Tig Notaro says she ‘never heard’ from Cheryl Hines after RFK Jr’s run

Comedian Tig Notaro detailed her split with actress Cheryl Hines after Hines’ husband Robert F. Kennedy Jr. ran for office, saying she “never heard from her again” after ending their podcast on Tuesday.
“I didn’t unfriend him, but when he ran for president and I left our old podcast, I realized that I never heard from him again, other than his nice responses sending me love when I thought maybe he needed support or maybe he felt one way or another, based on what I knew about him,” Notaro said.Handsome Podcast.”
Notaro and Hines previously hosted the podcast “Tig and Cheryl: True Story,” in which they discussed recent documentaries they’ve watched. Although Notaro had previously described Hines as “one of her favorite friends to be ridiculous with,” she said their friendship ultimately ended because of Kennedy’s political views.

“He and I had a four-hour conversation where he covered different topics and encouraged me to sit down with Bobby, and I said, ‘Let me think about it,'” Notaro said. he said. “Then I woke up and said, ‘Yes. No, thank you.'”
Notaro spoke about the need to “move on” from Hines on the “Breaking Bread With Tom Papa” podcast last month, saying that became even harder after Kennedy endorsed then-candidate Donald Trump in 2024.
He added on his Handsome Podcast that Hines couldn’t be a part of his “world” in politics.
“The other problem was, this is not my world. This is not my world,” he said. “And if you choose to enter that world, that’s your business. But I need to get out because I didn’t know, and I still don’t know where that path leads. But that’s not the path I’m interested in.”

Fox News Digital reached out to Hines’ representative for comment but did not immediately receive a response.
During a recent interview with The Times of London, Hines said what she sees in Hollywood is hypocrisy, based on the backlash she has faced against her husband’s views.
“I think I have compassion for actors and entertainers who really want people to know where they stand morally,” Hines said. “[But] I’ve never been one of them. I was a person who had no inclination towards politics. “But it’s eye-opening to see that people really want to tell you, for example, how their own morals don’t align with the current administration, because they don’t like hate or judgment.”
