Meghan Markle’s ‘secret weapon’ in Hollywood masterplan – and it’s not Prince Harry | Royal | News

Meghan Markle’s latest interview with Harper’s Bazaar has sparked controversy online for a number of reasons, but also highlights her ultimate power move as she attempts to usher herself back into Hollywood, an expert has claimed. The Duchess of Sussex graces the cover of the US magazine’s December 2025 issue.
Meghan wears a variety of outfits but keeps her makeup minimal, showing off bare, glowing skin. Meghan debuted her bare-face look throughout the year while giving a podcast interview with pal Jamie Kerm Lima, seemingly makeup-free but glowing from within.
The makeup look has become something of a signature look for the Duchess, who also wore minimal makeup during her surprise appearance at Paris Fashion Week.
Meghan being seen filming a new movie in Los Angeles eight years after she resigned to marry Prince Harry was widely seen as a return to Hollywood.
Meghan’s new approach to makeup has a deeper meaning for her return to the spotlight, according to one beauty expert.
Laura Porter, Skincare Expert, Facialist and Founder of FAB Skincare said: Mirror: “Meghan Markle has always gravitated toward a very natural, fresh-faced aesthetic, and this reflects a broader movement we’re seeing in beauty toward skin authenticity rather than heavy-handed glamour.
“She’s someone who prioritizes skin health, so she can confidently go out to events bare-faced. When the skin barrier is strong, hydrated, and even-toned, you often don’t need to wear as much makeup to achieve radiance.”
The expert said the duchess will likely invest in high-quality skincare that includes “gentle exfoliation, pigment-correcting serums such as vitamin C, and moisturizing ingredients such as hyaluronic acid or peptides.”
She added: “Meghan is also known to favor facial massage, which improves blood circulation and gives a lifted, rested look without makeup.
“Her approach shows that good skin care and well-chosen treatments can do much more for radiance than heavy makeup ever could.”
