Louisiana’s Bill Cassidy played a pivotal role supporting Kennedy’s nomination, claiming assurances on vaccine policy the Health and Human Services Secretary has since trampled on.
The Republican Senator who was instrumental in MAGA’s push for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to serve as Secretary of Health and Human Services refuses to acknowledge that the notorious conspiracy theorist was less than sincere about his anti-vax agenda. “RFK Jr., according to his own family, is doing real harm to the health of the United States,” CNN host Jake Tapper told Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy on Sunday on the State of the Union. “You don’t seem too keen on criticizing him by name.” Cassidy was equally angry as she evaded answers. “Obviously, you want it to be on the record that I said anything negative,” he responded. “Of course, if Republicans fight each other, it will make news.”
