Officers facing misconduct hearing in Harshita Brella case

Northamptonshire Police said four officers will face misconduct charges over their handling of allegations of abuse reported by a woman who was later found dead in the boot of a car.
Harshita Brella, 24, from Corby, was found inside a car in Ilford, east London, in November 2024, 100 miles (160 km) from her home.
Deputy Chief Constable Emma James said, following an investigation by the Independent Office for Police Conduct: “Misconduct investigations are ongoing in relation to four Northamptonshire Police officers and it would therefore be inappropriate for us to comment further at this time.”
He said the investigation into his death was “ongoing” and thoughts were with family and friends.
