The grandmother had bleeding in the large vessels in her head and neck and a cerebral hemorrhage.
June spent six months in intensive care before eventually dying from her injuries on June 14, 2024.
Moments after the terrifying attack, she managed to tell officers Wright’s name before losing consciousness.
The 39-year-old man was arrested by police on the day of the attack and subsequently charged with attempted murder.
When June died six months later, her charge was upgraded.
Wright, formerly of Grovers Field in Bishops Waltham, appeared at Portsmouth Crown Court on Thursday after previously pleading guilty to murder.

June Henty was found with more than 100 stab wounds to her head and neck following the attack and died from her injuries six months later.
He was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 24 years.
June’s family paid heartfelt tribute to their ‘kind and loving’ mother and grandmother.
‘Our beautiful mother June was brutally taken from us and as a family we are heartbroken,’ they said. She was a kind and loving woman who always put her family first. He enjoyed life to the fullest and always loved being around his family and friends.
‘My mother was a pillar of strength and always stood up for what she believed in, even in the toughest of times. Now our lives will never be the same without him. Even if some justice is achieved today, it will never be enough.
‘He was our world and we were his. ‘We have lost the heart of our family and feel broken without it.’
Senior Investigating Officer DI Tim Judd said: ‘This conclusion follows from the tragic loss of June Henty. He did nothing to deserve the heinous violence he was subjected to that morning and my thoughts are with his family.
‘June fought for six months and thanks to her we were able to identify the attacker as Adam Wright.
‘While no amount of punishment will bring June back to them, I hope knowing that the man responsible is behind bars will provide them with some relief.’
