‘I hid in toilet with child as killer banged on door’

Family stops“There was no time to think, but to keep many children away from the danger as possible and to use it.” He said.
“When I realized that one of the girls ran to the toilet in the opposite direction, the children were running towards the stairwell.
“I saw a green glare and I pushed him in and locked the door, assured him, and told him to remain silent.
“While in the toilet, the perpetrator was hitting and flapping the door, trying to get in, just stopping when the police came.
“The girls’ screaming and screaming for our lives bother me to date.”
Lidled said that “instinct” was to protect the girls, but he continued: “One part, always questioning whether we can do something different in those moments of terror.
“Even though people tell me that this is not my mistake, the guilt I carry is crushing.
“I constantly do what is in my mind over and over again, what I can do, what else can I do, what ifs.”

Liddy said he had daily feedback to the investigation and that he had struggled with ordinary tasks after the attack.
“Girls and their families, I feel sorry for the girls who were there that day, leanne, police, intervention teams, neighbors who opened their homes, the wider community, but I also feel sorry for the old version of myself and my life.” He said.
“I can’t remember myself or my previous life. The only thing I can remember is the current version of things – the events of the day constantly re -experience, linked to overwhelming emotions and fears.”
“I hope, this investigation will not make anyone – adults or innocent children – this bad individual can give us a destruction that changes life that can give us that day.”

He and Mrs. Liddy said that he was looking for 999 in the midst of “Bedlam” and “chaos” while trying to suffer horrified children.
“Not knowing where every child is in those moments is a fear that will live with me forever,” he said.
“My physical wounds healed, but psychological wounds remain raw.
“Online abuse was cruel. Instead of being surrounded by a supportive community I expected, I often exposed to my own home, felt criticized and insecure.
“Some of them are called heroes, others are called the evil guy. The truth is that I am not.
“On that day, he faced an impossible situation, led my second decisions of survival instincts.
“My family wants you to hear it: a person chose to do it, one person and a person alone.
“I want the investigation to understand that the damage is not over when the attack ends.
“My hope, no one else will have to live with such a permanent effect.”
The first phase of the investigation is to examine the history of the killer and the abducted opportunities to prevent the relations with the relevant agencies and the ones.
The hearing was postponed until Thursday.
