M5 traffic LIVE: Delays after bus crashes into car with ‘person trapped’ | UK | News

Motorists on the M5 are facing delays after a collision between a bus and a car brought traffic to a standstill. National Highways said the incident occurred on the southbound carriageway between J26 and J27 and delays were expected until 10pm. Drivers are even getting out of their cars amid the “chaotic” situation, Somerset Live reported.

Some are moving traffic cones so emergency services can get through roadworks. One of them said: “There is an accident in the roadworks area on the southbound M5 just south of the Wellington roundabout, traffic is at a standstill and numerous blue lights are flashing.” Another added: “Crash southbound in area 50 near Wellington. Nothing moving. Emergency services just arrived.”
