Five teenagers arrested on suspicion of murder after man, 49, found dead
Five teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found dead in a house in County Durham.
Cleveland Police were called to an address in Egglescliffe Close, Stockton, at around 6.50pm on Saturday, January 10, where a 49-year-old man was found dead.
A 19-year-old man, two 18-year-old boys and two 17-year-old boys were arrested and detained on suspicion of murder, a spokesman said.
A witness told TeessideLive four police vehicles were seen at the scene.
The police stated that images of the incident were circulating on social media and asked people not to share these images further.
A spokesman said: “We are aware that footage of this incident has been circulating on social media sites.
“Please do not share these images further, as this may affect legal proceedings. You can upload the images anonymously. Here.
“Anyone with information, CCTV or doorbell footage is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference SE26005815.”
Egglescliffe Close is a residential street in the Hardwick area of north Stockton. It connects to Elton Close and is located near Durham Road, the A177.
