An Oregon Department of Transportation spokesperson said the department is taking the following steps to assist with traffic:
-
No parking signs are being installed on the shoulders of Interstate 5.
-
Using message boards on Interstate 5 to warn drivers about traffic congestion.
-
Installing additional signs along Interstate 5, near milepost 276, warning of heavy traffic and telling drivers who are not exiting Woodburn to stay in the left lane.
ODOT’s crews will direct drivers to Woodland Boulevard through the normal entrance to the retail location on N. Arney Road. This will create a longer line of cars heading to retail locations on local streets and help move traffic onto Interstate 5.
