An Afghan citizen was arrested this week after posting a video on TikTok stating that he was preparing a bomb targeting the Fort Worth area in Texas, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) told Fox News.
Court records show Mohammad Dawood Alokozay was charged with making state-level terroristic threats.
DHS said Alokozay came to the United States as part of Operation Welcome Allies under the Biden administration. This effort resettled Afghans after the U.S. military withdrew from the country in the summer of 2021.
Rahmanullah Lakanwal, the alleged gunman involved in the shooting of two National Guard members in Washington DC this week, also came to the United States as part of the same program.
