IPrime Minister Keir Starmer, one of the most ambitious health reforms in the years, explained Labour’s 10-year plan to ür rebuilding NHS from scratch ”plan-shifting the hypothesis to hospitals and local health centers and people’s homes.
The plan, published on Thursday, promises NHS to transform NHS into “treatment, by giving priority to early intervention, neighborhood maintenance and digital innovation.
In accordance with the proposals, new health centers – open six days a week – will provide support for diagnostic, rehabilitation, nursing and even debt and employment and aim to reduce the pressure on hospitals and bring home care home.
Health Secretary Wes Streeting called it “generation once” reform that will turn NHS into his head.
However, critics question whether the vision is far from being new and can be delivered without significant new financing, personnel and systemic change.
Tanks such as King’s Fund and Nuffield Trust welcomed the passion of the plan, but warned that the strategy is at risk of recurrenceing past failures without net delivery mechanisms, without capital investment and between services.
