Santa’s Christmas Village brings North Pole magic to Perth for first time at Perth Convention Centre

For the first time, Perth families will be able to step directly into Santa’s North Pole without leaving the city when Santa’s Christmas Village transforms the Perth Convention and Exhibition Center into a vast indoor festive wonderland this December.

Running from December 6 to December 24, the pop-up village promises an immersive Christmas experience for all ages, complete with glowing lanterns, spinning “snow,” wandering elves, and more than 20 attractions spread across multiple themed zones, designed to feel like you’re wandering around Santa’s own snowy hometown.

Event organizers say there’s no better place to celebrate the joys of Christmas in Perth, all under one roof and away from WA’s summer heat.

“Santa’s Christmas Village is an exciting new addition to Perth’s events calendar, created by the same team behind Jurassic Kingdom and Elizabeth Quay Fun Fair,” said Carnival attractions director Sash Abreu.

“Perth is our home and we are passionate about bringing high-quality, family-friendly experiences there.

“After decades of hosting large-scale family events, Santa’s Christmas Village felt like a natural next step; our team absolutely loves Christmas and we wanted to share that joy, excitement and magic of the holidays with the community.”

Brooke Thornton and her daughters, three-year-old Emmy and older sister Addy, took a look at Santa’s grotto this week.

“We are looking forward to Rudolph’s Amusement Park and of course meeting Santa Claus,” Brooke said.

“The girls talk about it non-stop – they can’t wait to experience the magic of Christmas!”

Families can stroll down Candy Cane Lane, tackle the glittering Holly Jolly Maze, or roll up their sleeves to decorate gingerbread at North Pole Bakehouse. And yes, Santa will be on hand for selfies and wish lists.

“With incredible value for families and a wide range of Christmas attractions, every corner of Santa’s Christmas Village offers something magical – truly bringing the Christmas spirit to life,” Ms Abreu said.

Kids, who will receive vouchers for trips and activities with their entry tickets, can hug singing reindeer, make their own ornaments, send a letter to the big man and indulge in a host of entertainment designed to pump pure Christmas magic into their little hearts.

For those needing a little more action, Rudolph’s Funfair offers carnival rides like Dream Swinger, Runaway Train and Dodgem Drift, as well as sideshow games and old-fashioned fairground treats.

Preschoolers will want to stick around to meet popular TV characters Chase and Marshall from Paw Patrol, who will make a special appearance in a Christmas-themed live show.

“My Christmas wish is that the joy and togetherness of the festive season carries over into the New Year, and that every family that visits Santa’s Christmas Village leaves with memories they will remember forever,” Ms. Abreu said.

Tickets currently start at $10 for adults and $25 for children; Children’s cards also include travel and activity vouchers.
