Obdulia Sanchez, who livestreamed deadly 2017 crash, killed in California

STOCKTON, California (KSEE/KGPE) – The woman who remained in jail after livestreaming a fatal crash with her sister near Los Banos in 2017 was killed Tuesday in Stockton, Calif., deputies confirmed to Nexstar’s KSEE/KGPE.

According to the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office, 26-year-old Obdulia Sanchez was shot and killed in a drive-by around 7 p.m.

A second victim was also injured in the shooting, who was taken to an area hospital. No suspects have been arrested, but anyone with information is encouraged to contact the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office non-emergency line at 209-468-4400.

In 2017, Sanchez was driving with her 14-year-old sister in Los Banos when the car left the road and rolled over, ejecting her sister and her sister’s friend.

The incident and his sister’s body were recorded live.

Sanchez was later sentenced to six years in prison for aggravated vehicular manslaughter, driving under the influence and child endangerment. But ultimately serve less than half of that before being released on parole.

He was arrested again in 2019 After he led officers on a high-speed chase and was found with a loaded gun.
