During the second test between India and England in Edgbaston, a significant amount of drama emerged in the dying moments of the 3rd day (July 4), which gathered around a DRS decision about the Indian -opener Yashasvi Jaiswal. The left -handed player was given LBW shortly after a long discussion with his partner Kl Rahul before he passed the sign of fifty conditions in India’s second innings and decided to review the call. However, the British captain Ben Stokes was not satisfied and ran to the referees in the field to express the concern that the DRS review was taken after the allowed time limit.
The referees rejected their request, but Jaiswal was really out of the examination and had to leave the field. He scored 28 running from his dismissal and contributed to 51 runs for the small door with Rahul and helped India extend the leadership beyond 200.

What is the time limit for a DRS call?
According to the ICC regulations, there is 15 seconds to object to the decision of the referee in the field and start a review. Similarly, there is 15 seconds so that the Fielding team does not decide against the referees in the field.
What happens after a DRS call?
When a dough or Fielding team prefers a DRS review, the referee in the field transmits the decision from the third referee for examination. The third referee evaluates the validity of the decision, including checking whether the delivery is without a ball, and conveys the result with the referee in the field indicating the decision in the field.
