NH mother charged with child endangerment after 6-year-old ingests THC gummy

A New Hampshire woman has been charged with child endangerment and witness tampering after her daughter took THC gum and later tested positive for cannabinoids and cocaine, according to authorities.
The incident sparked a police investigation after the state Department of Children, Youth and Families notified the Nashua Police Department on Nov. 3.

The Nashua Police Department took Goulet into custody and formally charged him.
According to a statement shared by the Nashua Police Department, detectives learned that the 6-year-old boy was hospitalized after ingesting the substance and that his mother allegedly told a witness not to cooperate with investigators.
“The minor victim tested positive for illegal drugs, cannabinoids and cocaine while in the hospital,” the statement said.
“Detectives learned that Goulet had told a witness not to cooperate with the police investigation, and detectives determined that Goulet had neglected his duty to care for his infant daughter.
“Detectives determined that Goulet neglected her duty to care for her infant daughter.”
Paige Goulet, 30, was arrested by Meredith police on Monday on charges of tampering with witnesses in connection with the ongoing Nashua police investigation.

He was later taken into custody by Nashua police and formally charged.
He currently faces charges of witness tampering and endangering the welfare of a child or incapacitated person, according to the release.

Goulet was released on $300 cash bail and is scheduled to be arraigned Jan. 7 in Nashua District Court.
