A body was found in the search for the missing old woman. Glenda Keal, 85, was last seen on Sunday, December 7.

Police are searching for a pensioner who was reported missing from his home in Earl Shilton, Leicestershire. On Thursday, December 11, just after 8:40 a.m., authorities received a report that a woman’s body had been found near Brick Kiln Street in Hinckley. reports The Mirror.

It is suspected to be Glenda, although her official identity has not yet been confirmed. The elderly woman was last seen heading towards Westfield Road on Hawley Road in Hinckley shortly after 1.50pm.

Released CCTV footage shows Glenda driving a shopping trolley along Hawley Road in Hinckley towards Westfield Road. Investigations revealed he boarded the 158 bus from The Hollow in Earl Shilton just before 1.30pm and got off at The Crescent in Hinckley at around 1.45pm.

Specialist officers are providing support to Glenda’s family, who are ‘extremely concerned’ about her location. His death is not considered suspicious.

A representative from Leicestershire Police said: “A body was discovered during a search for an 85-year-old woman who was reported missing from her home in Earl Shilton. Glenda Keal was last seen walking down Hawley Road, Hinckley, towards Westfield Road on Sunday, December 7, just after 1.50pm.”

“Shortly after 8.40am this morning (Thursday, December 11), a report was received that a female body had been found in the vicinity of Brick Kiln Street in Hinckley. “Although official identification has not yet been established, it is believed to be Glenda.

“His family are currently being supported by specialist officers and have asked for privacy at this difficult time. His death is not believed to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner.”
