Telangana HC Division Bench Grants Relief to Akhanda 2 Makers, Stays Single Bench Orders
Hyderabad: 14 Reels Plus, the production company behind the movie Akhanda 2: Thandavam, secured an interim exit from the Telangana High Court Division Bench on Friday. This order temporarily stays the Single Judge Bench’s earlier orders until December 14. The legal matter is scheduled to be heard again on the 15th.
The Single Bench’s previous directives, issued in response to a petition filed on Thursday, mandated the cancellation of preview shows and prohibited any increase in ticket prices for the film. The petition specifically objected to the proposed increase in ticket prices and the holding of premieres in advance in Telangana.
Following the adverse verdict, the production company, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and directed by Boyapati Srinu, appealed to the Division Bench, which stayed the orders of the Single Bench until the next hearing.
