Robinson, the 22-year-old accused of murdering conservative activist Charlie Kirk, appeared in court on Thursday and was caught in the middle of a disturbing off-mic conversation in which he reflected on the fatal shooting.

Robinson appeared calm during his first in-person court appearance in Provo, Utah, even sharing brief laughs and smiles with his attorney. But his specific comments were much darker, according to Lip Reader Limited’s lip-reading analysis.

“I think about getting shot every day,” Robinson told his lawyer before the hearing began. “Every morning… every time.”

To the lip reader, it appeared to be a reference to Erika Kirk, who is currently raising the couple’s two young children on her own.

“So he had a wife…” the suspected hitman now said. Robinson also allegedly spoke about his mental state behind bars, saying he “smoked a lot” and struggled with sleepless nights.

“This is driving me crazy,” he seemed to add New York Post. “I’m not good for anything.”

Despite these comments, Robinson remained calm in a blue shirt and argyle tie before Judge Tony Graf.

He is accused of fatally shooting the 31-year-old Turning Point USA founder during a speech attended by thousands of people at Utah Valley University on September 10.

The court hearing focused on two issues: whether cameras would be allowed at future hearings, which Robinson’s team opposes, and whether portions of previous telephone hearing transcripts should be made public.

After more than two hours of private arguments, Judge Graf postponed his decision on both matters and scheduled a follow-up hearing for December 29.

Robinson faces a number of serious charges, including aggravated murder, obstruction of justice, felony use of a firearm causing serious injury, witness tampering and committing a violent crime in front of a child.

He has not yet entered a plea and could face the death penalty if convicted.

The shift in transparency surrounding the case has raised eyebrows.

Roger Bonakdar, a California-based trial attorney and legal analyst, said authorities were unusually open early in the investigation, revealing details that prosecutors usually keep secret, including references to audio recordings, purported confessions and surveillance footage.

“When they first arrested Tyler Robinson, the information flow was extremely active,” Bonakdar said. Fox News. “They told us they had audio recordings of Tyler Robinson and a supposed confession. They said they had video footage from a local fast-food restaurant. They were almost oversharing in the beginning.”

He added: “They’ve turned that tap off now and say you can’t even come into court and hear what we’re doing when a lot of it is probably procedural.”

Robinson surrendered to authorities following a statewide search. Accordingly court documentsHis family recognized him from security footage released by police and convinced him to surrender.

The current whereabouts of Lance Twiggs, Robinson’s alleged roommate and trans partner, are unknown.

Twiggs faced intense scrutiny after it was reported that Robinson had texted her about his actions and motives following the murder of the far-right celebrity.

Twiggs has also not spoken publicly about Kirk’s killing and has not spoken to the media since the shooting shocked the world.
