Jeremiyah Love was almost a Michigan Wolverine.
A four-star recruit in high school, the Wolverines made him an offer, but he ultimately settled on Notre Dame.
It’s not a decision he regrets, as he turned himself into a first-round draft pick. But as if that wasn’t enough, Michigan found itself in the middle of a huge controversy this week.

Head coach Sherrone Moore was fired after she was found to be having an “inappropriate relationship” with an employee. Hours later, he was taken to jail and eventually charged with trespassing and harassment.
The Heisman Trophy finalist reflected on his decision to commit to Michigan in a recent interview with Fox News Digital.
“I mean, I loved Michigan. Michigan was a great school, a great program. There were a lot of great people there. It just wasn’t the place for me,” Love said. “I don’t want to say I’m glad I didn’t go there, but I think I made the right decision choosing Notre Dame over other schools because Notre Dame was the right place for me.”
In many ways, Love seems to have made the right choice.

Prosecutors accused Moore of contacting the employee through phone calls and texts after she left on Monday, which led to the woman contacting the University of Michigan and cooperating with the investigation. Moore was later fired from his position as head football coach, which prosecutors said prompted him to show up at her home.
Moore allegedly entered the victim’s home “raging” shortly after Michigan fired him for an “inappropriate relationship” with a staff member. Moore allegedly grabbed a butter knife and kitchen shears and began threatening his own life. Moore allegedly told staff, “You’ve got my blood on your hands” and “You ruined my life,” according to prosecutors.
Moore married his wife in 2015 and they have three daughters.
