Multiple people shot as gunmen open fire at Bondi Beach

Authorities are responding to reports of active attackers at Bondi Beach in Sydney’s east.
Police officers arrived at the scene just before 7pm on Sunday.
“Police are responding to an incident at Bondi Beach and are urging the public to avoid the area,” NSW Police said in a statement. he said.
“Everyone at the scene should take shelter.
“Police are at the scene and further information will be provided as it becomes available.”
Emergency services are also at the scene.
Multiple videos posted on social media show two gunmen standing on a footbridge connecting Campbell Parade to Bondi Pavilion and opening fire on the crowd.
Men were seen firing guns into the crowd as people screamed.
Publicist Erin Molan was in the area and said she heard gunshots.
“We can hear gunshots in Bondi…it’s scary. Take cover. Active incident,” he posted on X.
Anthony Albanese’s spokesman said the prime minister was aware of the incident.
“We are aware of an active security situation in Bondi,” the spokesman said.
“We urge people in the area to follow information from NSW Police.”
