The Philadelphia Eagles ended their losing streak by defeating the Las Vegas Raiders 31-0 to pick up a much-needed win in the playoff race.

The Eagles, currently leading the NFC East, improved to 9-5 after losing their last three games; Including a brutal performance against the Los Angeles Chargers in which quarterback Jalen Hurts committed a career-high five turnovers in an overtime loss.

In this matchup, Hurts was effective with 12/15 passing yards for 175, following four interceptions last week. He caught three touchdowns, including two to tight end Dallas Goedert, who was the game’s leading receiver with 70 yards on six catches.

After missing a deep ball connection against the Chargers, AJ Brown caught a 27-yard touchdown pass from Hurts, and it could be the offensive explosion the team needs to advance toward the playoffs.

The Raiders, meanwhile, had to go with their backup quarterback this time around as Kenny Pickett took over duties under center.

Pickett struggled all game in the frigid South Philly weather, going 15/25 for just 64 yards receiving with an interception of a pass by Eagles linebacker Zach Baun intended for star tight end Brock Bowers.

Bowers may have had six catches in this game, but he only tallied 28 yards for Las Vegas. The Eagles’ defense was relentless throughout the game; He led Pickett with four sacks, including two, with Brandon Graham coming out of retirement to help the Eagles pass rusher.

Eagles fans will also enjoy seeing Saquon Barkley find the end zone once again. He scored a big touchdown last week and continued the momentum six days later with 22 carries for 78 yards and a score.

The game came down to the point where the starters came on offense for Philadelphia, with Tanner McKee taking over at quarterback and Tank Bigsby replacing Barkley in the backfield. Bigsby missed the touchdown run as he was blocked on fourth-and-goal from the goal line. He would finish with 57 yards on 17 carries.

With the Dallas Cowboys entering Sunday night’s game against the Minnesota Vikings with a 6-6-1 record, the Eagles are poised to recapture the division title after winning it last season en route to a Super Bowl victory.
