Newsom comms director blasts Nicki Minaj after rapper attacks governor

Izzy Gardon, California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s communications director, referred to rapper Nicki Minaj as a “stupid bitch” after the musician criticized the Democratic governor.
Minaj called out Newsom in a series of social media posts on Friday after telling the New York Times’ Ezra Klein about her desire to “see trans kids” and her support for pro-trans legislation.
“Imagine being the man running to see trans children” he said. “Even a trans ADULT wouldn’t admit this. Normal adults wake up and think they want to see HEALTHY, SAFE, HAPPY kids. Not Gav. Gav Nots. GavOUT. Send the next guy away, I’m bored.”

He concluded that this was “the end of the road” for his career and suggested what he should do instead.
“Oh Gavvy pooh, it only gets worse for you from here on out, mate. This is the end of the road for you my love.” he said. “Get on the nearest jet ski and let your beautiful hair fly in the wind. This will make you happier than this race you can’t win. Enjoy life. Peace.”
Gardon indirectly responded to Minaj’s comments on Saturday after X posted a photo of a T-shirt with Minaj’s name and face in the trash can.
“Stupid Hoe,” Gardon wrote.

Gardon has pushed back against critics like California Republican State Rep. Carl DeMaio, who accused him of calling a Black woman a “stupid bitch.”
“Any certified gay man knows Stupid Hoe is Nicki Minaj’s best song. We might have to pull your gay card, Carl. Your transgressions are becoming unbearable.” gardon wrote.
“Stupid Hoe”, also known as “Stupid Stupid”, was a song Minaj released in 2011.

Although Minaj did not directly respond to Gardon’s comments, she accused Newsom’s team of wasting their time going after him and did several additional missions to go after the governor.

“They’re willing to make a career politician with everything to lose throw it all away – just like they did everyone before her – just to turn against me. The crazy part is that she can’t see how this is going to end. I must be a pretty strong girl. Thank God. She’s fine.” read another one.
