Veggie Vendor Held for Indecency

Hyderabad: A vegetable vendor who was allegedly seen holding vegetables on his private parts before selling them to customers in a video was arrested by Narayanguda police on Tuesday.

Station house officer Saideshwar said that accused Mohammed Waseek was selling vegetables in front of Melkote Park in Narayanguda. “We identified Wasseek through a viral video shot by locals and arrested him,” the official said.

Sources told the police that Waseek had a skin allergy on his private parts and he scratched the area by applying ointment.

The police filed a case under BNS for spreading allergies and selling unhygienic products and took him to the criminal court. Based on the charges and the video exhibited, the court sentenced him to five days in prison and fined him 2,500 thousand lira. The court ordered the authorities to close his shop.

54-Year-Old Farmer Drowned to Death

Hyderabad: A 54-year-old farmer allegedly strangled to death while eating at his home in Shabad, police said on Tuesday. Chilkamarri Jangaiah had returned home and was having dinner around 12.30 pm on Tuesday when the incident took place at his residence in Shabad.

Jangaiah’s wife found him unconscious and took him to a private hospital, where doctors declared him dead, Shabad police said. After the autopsy performed at the District State Hospital morgue, the body was handed over to family relatives.

Police said her husband Karre Ratnaiah had warned them not to continue the relationship and decided to eliminate her.

Hyderabad:The Banjara Hills crime squad scoured the footage of 133 CCTV cameras for six days and found a woman’s bag containing valuables, which fell off her two-wheeler and was stolen by two men, and tracked the duo through their bike registration number and mobile numbers.

According to Swati Agarwal’s complaint, the incident took place on December 10 at Road No. 12, Banjara Hills. Banjara Hills station house officer KM Raghavendra said he placed the bag containing a diamond necklace, gold bangles, earrings, three mobile phones, 15 ATM cards and other documents on the steps of the vehicle.

The bag slid out of the vehicle without him realizing it. The doctor driving behind noticed the bag and picked it up to give it back to her.

The duo, who were at the scene, grabbed the doctor’s bag. When he could not find the bag, Agarwal filed a complaint with the police and started an investigation.

Police found the bike belonging to the duo parked on Road No. 36 in Jubilee Hills. “Based on the registration number of the bike, we obtained the linked mobile number of the criminal and arrested Syed Farhan and Mohammad Mosin (26) from their residence in Borabanda and seized the bag,” police said.
