Watch live: Starmer faces off against Badenoch in final PMQs of 2025

Watch Sir Keir Starmer take on Kemi Badenoch for the last time this year at Prime Minister’s Questions on Wednesday 17 December.

This comes at a time when UK inflation fell much more than expected last month and food prices fell in a bid to ease the cost of living for households across the country, according to new official figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

The rate fell to 3.2 percent in November, an eight-month low. But the figures came a day after the unemployment rate rose to 5.1 per cent in the three months to October.

The five-day strike by NHS junior doctors also began at 7am today and will continue until 7am on Monday, December 22, and is likely to be a talking point in the House of Commons as well.

Earlier today Wes Streeting said he had done “everything we could” to stop the strikes and said it was coming at the “worst time” when flu cases were rising.

Chairman of the British Medical Association’s (BMA) junior doctors committee, Dr. Jack Fletcher said in a statement that the latest strike was the result of “hasty, last-minute offers” from the government.

Meanwhile, the government has confirmed that the UK will rejoin the Erasmus exchange program for students from 2027; This is a move that will allow British students to study abroad at universities in Europe for the first time since Brexit.
