DOJ Website Uses Rush Queue System for Epstein Files
Intense public interest put the ministry’s website in trouble; Some users received messages stating that their access attempts were denied. At one point, visitors were placed in a waiting room-style queue similar to those used for high-demand ticket sales, according to the AP report. Users are informed that they will have a limited time to access the site once accepted.
Justice Department Says More Epstein Files Will Be Released
According to a Reuters report, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said early on Friday that while hundreds of thousands of documents have been released, not all of the files related to Epstein will be made public at once. Additional records are expected to be released in the coming weeks as authorities continue to review the materials to protect victims’ privacy, he said.

What’s Inside the Department of Justice’s Epstein Files?
The newly released records include photographs, call recordings, grand jury testimony, interview transcripts and other materials, according to the AP report. Many of the documents have been heavily redacted and some were already publicly available. Several files reference Epstein and his longtime partner, British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell. Maxwell was convicted in late 2021 of recruiting underage girls for Epstein to exploit and is serving a 20-year prison sentence.
Epstein Files DOJ Release Contains Prison Videos from Day of Death
The broadcast also includes video clips from inside New York’s Metropolitan Correctional Center from the day Epstein died by suicide in his prison cell. These videos had previously been made public, and according to the AP report, authorities have long said they did not show anyone entering the area around Epstein’s cell before his death.
New Epstein Files Released Today Under the Epstein Files Transparency Act
The Justice Department acknowledged in a statement accompanying the documents that “it may nevertheless inadvertently contain information that contains non-public personal information or other sensitive content, including matters of a sexual nature,” the AP reported.
The Ministry asked the public to notify authorities if such information is discovered so that it can be handled immediately.
The disclosures were made under the Epstein File Transparency Act, which requires the Justice Department to review and redact records before they are made public.
