CCTV footage reveals last movements of missing Lancaster University student

CCTV footage shows the last recorded movements of a teenager who disappeared eight days ago.
Tom Dingle, 19, of Appley Bridge, Lancashire, was last seen on CCTV heading towards the Boathouse pub on Mill Lane in the village in the early hours of Saturday, December 13.
His mother Susan Dingle, 56, said the Lancaster University student was in a “vulnerable state of mind” following a loss.
In a moving statement, his mother, Mrs Dingle, said: “We want him to come home as soon as possible.
“We even put a note on the front door so he knows he can come in. We’re just here to love and protect him, that’s all.

“Tom is in a vulnerable state after a traumatic event. He is in a lot of pain.
“My husband Peter and I and Tom’s older brother are losing our minds worrying that something might have happened to him.
“We just want our baby back, that’s all.”
Tom is 1.70 tall and has short black hair. He was last seen wearing a black Carhartt jacket, black jeans and black Doc Martin shoes, and carrying a backpack over his shoulder.
Lancashire Police is appealing to the public for dashcam footage taken from the area between 12.30pm and 3am on December 13.
Lancashire Police said: “We would like to reassure you that our searches and investigations are very much continuing and we are doing everything we can to find Tom.”
“We know people are really keen to find Tom and what we really need from the public is dashcam footage from the area between 12.30am and 3am on December 13 when we knew there were a number of vehicles in the area,” a spokesman added.
Officers are asking people to call 999 if they see Tom or 101 quoting log 0120 to share information or images that may help locate the teenager.
