Katie Allen, former member for Higgins, dies at 59

Katie Allen, the former MP for the Melbourne seat of Higgins, has died aged 59.

His family announced his death on Instagram.

“She spent her life caring for others as a mother, doctor, professor, MP and friend. She is so loved,” the post said.

“He passed peacefully, surrounded by his family, and lived a full, beautiful life until the very end.
