The 1 Christmas gift Prince George definitely won’t be opening today | Royal | News

Prince William and Princess Catherine will no doubt make sure their children have a very special Christmas, with the young royals receiving plenty of Christmas gifts and toys from their parents and relatives.

While Prince George and his siblings will wake up to lots of gifts, a royal expert shared that the 12-year-old probably won’t even get the one gift he was hoping for. According to former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond, Catherine and William are careful not to spoil Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. She said: “Catherine and William tried not to over-spoil their children, which can’t be easy when you love them so much and can give them everything they want!”

To talk MirrorHe added: “One thing they absolutely cannot get, no matter how hard they beg, is a smartphone.

“Beware, as George enters his teenage years, it will become increasingly difficult to maintain this streak.”

Discussing the technology, he added that the royal couple may one day allow their eldest son, who turns 13 in July, to have a “brick phone.”

He said: “Parents all over the world will identify with his concerns. It seems William and Catherine could reconcile by giving him a brick phone. And a lot of schools and parents these days are moving in that direction too.”

In an interview with Brazilian television presenter Luciano Huck from the show Domingão earlier this year, William revealed that all three of his children do not have phones. He added: “When George gets to secondary school maybe he’ll have a school with limited access. We’ll talk to him and explain why we don’t think that’s right.”

The family of five is currently spending time with King Charles and Queen Camilla at the Sandringham estate. Royal watchers will likely be keen to catch a glimpse of them as they head to St Mary Magdalene’s tomorrow for the annual Christmas Day service.

The family were preparing for Christmas Day at their new home, Forest Lodge, before heading to Norfolk.
