Three Killed, Two Injured as Car Crashes Near Siruguppa

Ballari: Three people were killed and two others were injured when they were hit by a car near Devinagar within the limits of Tekkalakote police station, about 12 kilometers from Siruguppa, on Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Prasad Rao (75), Vijaya (70) and Sandhya (35), who were driving the car. The injured – Padma (70) and Braheshwar Rao (45), both residents of Siruguppa – were shifted to Ballari for treatment. Police said their condition was stable and they were not in danger.
According to police, the accident took place between 4 pm and 4.30 pm while the car was traveling from Tamil Nadu to Siruguppa via Mysuru. The accident took place on NH 150A as the vehicle was approaching Siruguppa.
Initial investigations suggest that Prasad Rao lost control after the car veered onto the right side of the road and crashed into a culvert near Devinagar. The severity of the impact was very high and 3 people in the vehicle died at the scene and 2 people were injured.
Police announced that all of the victims were relatives. A case has been registered at Tekkalakote police station and further investigation is ongoing.
