GHMC announces finalisation of delimitation exercise

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner today announced the completion of demarcation of 300 wards. The official also announced through a notification that details of boundary clarifications have been placed on notice boards of all department, district and headquarters buildings.

Released on December 24, 2025, GO Ms. No. 292, the restructuring is aimed at addressing the sharp increase in administrative workload following the expansion of GHMC boundaries, which now covers a population of over 1.34 crore. Decentralization is necessary to ensure uniform management, improve service delivery and increase public convenience in the expanding urban area, officials said.
