Bihar CM Nitish Kumar transfers ₹802.46 crore to construction workers

On Wednesday, September 17, 2025, Bihar Prime Minister Nitish Kumar was transferred to 802.46 Crore accounts of the Bihar building and other construction workers’ welfare board 16.04,929 registered construction workers.

5,000 per construction worker within the scope of the annual clothing assistance program through the official residence video conference. CM Kumar also launched the web portal of Mukhyamantri Pratigya Yojana (Prime Minister pledge program).

During the program, the Prime Minister congratulated the labor resources department for organizing the program.

CM Kumar, “We are working since the beginning to bring the lowest step of the society to the main current. As the state reached the new heights of new progress in various sectors, our brothers and sisters made a unique contribution. The government is working for their continuous development,” he said.

The Prime Minister has directed the labor resources department to register all the remaining workers and to launch a campaign to connect them to this plan and to ensure their benefits.

Annual clothing assistance program, Bihar building and other construction workers rules were initiated in 2016 in accordance with the Bihar Government Labor Office in 2020 to assist appropriate and registered construction workers and workers.

Within the scope of this plan, every registered construction worker receives 2,500 Lo deposits in bank accounts, which has now increased to 5,000.

The prime minister’s pledge plan is an initiative of the state government aiming to strengthen the youth of the state and prepare them for employment needs.

Within the scope of this plan, structured internship opportunities will be provided by providing practical experience and financial support and employment opportunities to young people in manufacturing and service sectors.

In this plan, 5,000 internship opportunities will be provided in 2025-26 financially and will be the target of providing 20,000 opportunities every year in the next five years.

A total of 105,000 opportunities will be provided within the scope of the program. The prime minister’s pledge plan is operated through a digital platform.

The Portal will connect young people and industries on a single platform by providing convenience to industries/employers and young people in Bihar.

Industries and employers and young people are registered to take advantage of internship opportunities through the portal. The digital platform will prove that it will be a transformative bridge that combines the desires of the state’s youth and the needs of the industry, and will provide Bihar new energy to develop skills and inclusive progress.

Both Deputy Prime Minister Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, workers’ Resources Minister Santosh Kumar Singh and Chief Minister Deepak Kumar’s chief secretary.
