Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar, is a dream at the box office as it has grossed over Rs 1,000 crore worldwide. Despite its long running time of more than three and a half hours, the film resonated strongly with the audience thanks to its gripping narrative, strong performances, exciting music and on-point cast. The spy thriller, which also stars Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt and R Madhavan in the lead roles, has now crossed another important milestone. The Aditya Dhar directorial became the first Indian film of 2025 to gross over Rs 200 crore in overseas markets, firmly cementing its immense global appeal.
Dhurandhar has performed excellently in key international territories including North America, United Kingdom, Australia and parts of Europe. Its performance, especially in North America, has been outstanding and has already surpassed $12 million. Strong opening weekends, steady weekday collections and strong word-of-mouth marketing have led to a steady influx of visitors in overseas markets. With this success, the Ranveer Singh film has emerged as the undisputed overseas leader of 2025 so far, firmly beating all other Indian films of the year internationally. Superstar Rajinikanth’s Coolie, which grossed Rs 180.50 crore in international markets, follows by a wide margin.
The sequel, Dhurandhar Part 2, will release in theaters on March 19, 2026, in the original Hindi language and dubbed versions in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. There will be a huge box office clash with Yash’s gangster drama Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, starring Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Rukmini Vasanth and Huma Courseshi. The Geetu Mohandas directorial has been shot simultaneously in Kannada and English and will also be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. Dacoit, a bilingual action drama shot in Hindi and Telugu, is also scheduled to release on the same day as Gudi Padwa, Ugadi and Eid festivals. Shaneil Deol movie stars Adivi Sesh, Mrunal Thakur and Anurag Kashyap.
