Motorists on the M5 near Bristol faced traffic chaos the next day following a crash. There was an incident on 26 December where a vehicle crashed into a lamppost on the M5 Northbound exit road.

The collision caused emergency services to arrive at the scene and temporarily close the area. As traffic began to build up in the area following the incident and road closures, roads and traffic monitoring site Inrix said: “Traffic is very slow due to accident on J15 M4 J20 (Almondsbury Junction).”
