The Trump Administration has released a new wave of UFO dossiers, including never-before-seen video of a US warplane appearing to shoot down a mysterious object.

Dramatic footage from the Pentagon showed the moment an F-16 fighter jet shot down an unidentified vehicle over Michigan’s Lake Huron.

Infrared cameras captured the moment on February 12, 2023, when the small ship, round or diamond-shaped and pointed, was hit by what the Pentagon calls a US ‘weapons system’.

During the violent impact, the object appears to explode, sending countless pieces of shrapnel in all directions.

In the Army’s statement on the incident, officials said: ‘The image appears to depict the kinetic interaction between two distinct areas of contrast; ‘The initial subject of the image disintegrates in a radial displacement pattern suggestive of a high-energy event.’

In simpler terms, the Air Force likely used kinetic weapons such as a missile to attack the UFO, causing the UFO to ‘disintegrate’ or break into several pieces following the high-energy explosion.

The new footage was one of 46 new videos released Friday by the Pentagon-led committee tasked with making America’s UFO files public.

In a letter requesting the release of the new videos in March, Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna confirmed that the weapon used was the AIM-9X ‘Sidewinder’ missile.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said in a statement on Friday: ‘The War Department is aligning with President Trump to provide unprecedented transparency regarding our government’s understanding of Unidentified Anomalous Events.’

‘Hidden behind classifications, these files have long fueled justified speculation, and it’s time for the American people to see it with their own eyes. ‘This release of declassified documents demonstrates the Trump Administration’s serious commitment to unprecedented transparency.’

According to the report published by the Pentagon, the F-16C ‘Fighting Falcon’ sent to intercept the UFO was part of the US Air National Guard, the air force arm of the National Guard.

This group is a part-time reserve force made up of pilots, aircraft mechanics and support personnel who fly fighter jets, cargo planes, refueling tankers and other aircraft.

The F-16 typically carries up to six air-to-air missiles, including the Sidewinder and the AIM-120 AMRAAM missile.

The UFO file does not state why the warplane took off or from which air base it came. It is unclear whether the debris seen in the video was recovered from Lake Huron and analyzed to determine its origin.

The new slice of files, which contains the chilling voices of the Apollo 12 crew reporting mysterious objects while in space, was published just before 8 a.m. on the War Department website.

The dump also included bright orange orbs floating around a military helicopter, mysterious ‘fireballs’ triggering a hunt for airborne particles in New Mexico, and intelligence documents describing unidentified aerial phenomena near a Soviet weapons testing site.

Other entries in nearly four dozen videos revealed Tic Tac-shaped UFOs being tracked by the U.S. Coast Guard, glowing orbs bursting through clouds over Afghanistan, unidentified submerged objects emerging from the ocean, and scores of fast-moving military aircraft swarming over the Persian Gulf, the East China Sea and limited U.S. airspace.

Confirmation that the US military opened fire on an unidentified flying object marked the latest incident involving the Air Force and a mysterious craft.

In September 2025, during a hearing of a bombshell UFO whistleblower, members of Congress were shown video of an October 2024 encounter involving a U.S. military drone and a spherical UFO off the coast of Yemen.

Congressman Eric Burlison of Missouri has revealed never-before-seen footage of a UFO being hit by a Hellfire missile from a drone and surviving the impact.

The black-and-white video shows the 100-pound precision air-to-ground weapon bouncing off the mysterious sphere as it continues to move at breakneck speed.

The video also shows that several pieces of the sphere broke off during the impact, but it continued flying next to the UFO.

Before the UFO files began being released on May 8, the US government had maintained for decades that there was no physical evidence of the existence of alien spacecraft or extraterrestrials.

However, government whistleblowers continued to claim that the U.S. military was secretly running secret programs aimed at recovering and reverse engineering crashed UFOs from around the world.
