Iran’s president says country is in ‘full-scale war’ with US, Israel and Europe as nuclear tensions escalate

Iran’s president said his country was in a ‘full-scale war’ with the US, Israel and Europe as the enemy tried to rebuild its nuclear capabilities.
President Masoud Pezeshkian issued a chilling statement in an interview with state-controlled media on Saturday, saying he believed Iran was already at war with the West.
‘We are in an all-out war with the USA, Israel and Europe; They don’t want our country to remain stable,’ Pezeshkian said.
Referring to Iran’s devastating war with Iraq from 1980 to 1988, in which more than a million people were killed, Pezeshkian said the conflict with the West could escalate even more dramatically.
‘This war is worse than the war Iraq started against us. “On closer inspection, it is much more complex and difficult,” he continued.
‘During the war with Iraq, the situation was clear: they fired missiles and we knew exactly where we were responding. But now we are surrounded from every angle.’
These remarks come as Trump prepares to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday and Iran is expected to be a key issue in the talks.

Pezeshkian accused the West of trying to bring Iran ‘to its knees’, months after President Trump launched an attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities in June; military experts said this significantly degraded the country’s capabilities but did not completely destroy its nuclear programs
The issue of Iran’s continued efforts to acquire nuclear weapons has caused the country to face new UN sanctions in recent weeks.
The threat of Iran’s nuclear ambitions led Donald Trump to launch historic attacks on Iranian facilities in June; This significantly degraded the country’s capabilities but did not completely destroy its nuclear programs, military experts said.
In his closing remarks, Pezeshkian ignored the impact of Trump’s attacks in June and said Iran’s military had rebuilt itself into a stronger position than it was before the conflict.
‘Our beloved military forces are doing their job powerfully and now, despite all the problems we have, they are stronger in terms of equipment and manpower than when they attacked,’ he said.
‘So if they wanted to attack they would naturally face a more determined response.’
Pezeshkian’s harsh words come as Iran’s president has faced scrutiny at home in recent weeks for comments he made to university students.
When asked about Iran’s struggling economy, Pezeshkian said that even though he was president, he did not have the power to turn the situation around.
“If someone can do something, by all means go for it,” he said, according to the New York Times. ‘I can’t do anything; Don’t curse me.’
He reportedly added: ‘Why should I solve (the economy)? ‘You shouldn’t think that the president can work miracles.’
Pezeshkian, who was criticized for his statements to university students, took a step back from this attitude by saying, “I have repeatedly said that we cannot do it, but we can do it,” in an interview with the state media on Saturday.
‘The country’s problems are not something I can solve alone… but we will overcome these problems.’

Iran has also been dragged into Trump’s stance against Venezuela, as a ‘shadow fleet’ of Iran-linked tanker ships operating in the Caribbean caused alarm this month amid US military action in the region.
Despite a long history of brazenly transporting sanctioned Iranian oil, the ships have been seen sailing just miles from America’s coastline as President Trump continues his relentless bombardment of alleged drug boats.
A bombshell report obtained exclusively by the Daily Mail has exposed a deep and secret network of 20 illegal tankers currently lurking in Caribbean waters and serving as a lifeline for the regimes of Venezuela’s Nicolas Maduro, Iran and Russia.
According to United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI), which has spent more than 12 years tracking these elusive vessels, approximately 11 vessels, including ‘Skipper’ and ‘Star Twinkle 6’, are directly linked to Iran’s oil trade, along with nine other vessels linked to Russian and Venezuelan operations.
The stakes couldn’t be higher. Skipper’s revenues reportedly finance the terrorist activities of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and Hezbollah, support hostile regimes, and supply discounted oil to China.
UANI Senior Research Analyst Jemima Shelley pointed to the strong ideological alliance established between Maduro and the Ayatollah, warning that this reality could lead Trump to a dangerous provocation with Iran.
“Iran is the largest state sponsor of terrorism and its illicit oil sales are the main source of funding for global terrorist activities,” Shelley told the Daily Mail.
“The Revolutionary Guard, designated as a foreign terrorist organization, is using this oil revenue not only to renew its nuclear weapons and ballistic missile program, but also to actively plan terrorism on US soil, including against senior members of the US administration,” he added.
