Prince William has been asked to do something very important when he assumes the role of King in the future. The 43-year-old actor has previously admitted that he will be making “changes” at the Company, without going into specific details about the decisions he plans.
Aside from the changes ahead, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond shares what she believes would be a good change to make during William’s reign. Commenting on William’s major initiative to address homelessness in the UK and beyond, William claims the idea of William still holding onto loads of homes would be “offensive” to the campaign issue.
write in one piece me paperMs Bond shared: “One thing that seems beyond doubt to me is William’s need to give up the large property portfolio he was about to inherit.
“Nobody needs so many houses, castles and palaces. And this is especially offensive when combined with William’s campaign to end homelessness.”
He called on William in a statement: “He will have to trash or reuse these buildings.”
He concluded: “And far from ruining it, as some might argue, careful modernization of the monarchy has every chance of making William a hugely effective King in the 21st century.
“Monarchy is indeed an anachronism, but it is an anachronism that works, at least in this country, against the ever-changing backdrop of toxic politics.”
Speaking in an interview for Eugene Levy’s Apple TV+ series The Reluctant Traveler, William said: “It’s safe to say that change is on my agenda – change for good.”
He stated that he embraced change and was not afraid of it, on the contrary, he was excited about the possibility of implementing it.
William recently moved into a new home in Windsor with his young family, Forest Lodge.
