Democrats proved wrong on climate, DEI and big government in 2025

Americans – celebrate 2025! The year we learned that the Democrats were wrong on almost everything and that sensible Americans were right all along.

Do you think this is an exaggeration? Take into account:

Climate alarmism is dead. Apparently we need oil and gas;

1. Climate

Perhaps the most significant change of 2025 is the long-standing realization that climate alarmism is arguably more dangerous than climate change. When even billionaire billionaire Bill Gates, a longtime climate campaigner, put down his spikes, something profound changed. Gates recently wrote a memo acknowledging that climate change “will not lead to the death of humanity”; The welcome dose of realism from one of the world’s richest people comes just a year after he wrote his book “How to Avoid Climate Disaster.”

Look at how quickly blue state officials dodge climate mandates that raise electricity costs and infuriate voters.

First in the exhibit is New York Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul, who recently lifted a harmful de facto ban on natural gas pipeline construction imposed by her predecessor, former Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

After years of adhering to Cuomo’s disastrous climate agenda and watching New York’s electricity rates soar 40% above the national average, Hochul infuriated climate warriors in November by approving key permits for the Williams Northeast Supply Enhancement (NESE) natural gas pipeline. Hochul said energy needs and grid reliability determined this change. This was a very complicated situation for a woman who wanted to ban gas stoves.

Both Gates and Hochul are attuned to the corporate community that is quietly abandoning environmental goals because the need for power to fuel AI data banks is paramount. The truth is that trillions of dollars of investment in renewable fuels has barely reduced demand for oil, gas, and coal.

Additionally, the cost to western nations of strangling their economies to reduce carbon emissions has become too high; especially since China, India and other developing countries are today’s largest carbon emitters and do not comply with such regulations. As Gates writes, the emphasis should be on improving lives both here and around the world, not on blindly trying to restrict fossil fuels.

2. big government

Under President Joe Biden, Democrats have needlessly spent trillions of dollars and increased our deficits relative to the economy to levels never before seen outside of major wars. The outpouring of cash not only fueled decades of high inflation but also opened the door to massive frauds, with hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars disappearing.

Recently, the country discovered a still-unfolding scandal in which the Somali community in Minnesota allegedly stole as much as $9 billion in funds to feed hungry children and house the homeless.

Democrats (and sometimes Republicans) hope to attract voters by giving away money; They know that if citizens become dependent on generous donations, they will vote to keep the good times going.

But someone has to pay for free stuff; That poor guy is the taxpayer who ends up rebelling. As blue states raise taxes to feed their welfare machines, they hemorrhage businesses and residents who flee to lower-tax areas like Florida and Texas. The bottom line is that Big Government doesn’t work. It never happened, it never will.

3.DEI

Initially, President Donald Trump reversed the “illegal and immoral” DEI programs that Biden demanded be implemented in every corner of the Federal Government. Biden’s Executive Order, titled “Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities through the Federal Government,” required nearly every Federal agency, including air traffic control and the military, to submit “Equity Action Plans” that lead to “tremendous public waste and shameful discrimination.”

Inspired by the president’s backlash against virtue-signaling programs, companies have quietly sidelined DEI, aware that such efforts divide their employees and fuel resentment.

In February, Accenture’s CEO wrote a memo to staff saying the large professional services firm was shelving its DEI program, stating that it had “largely achieved its goals” and that “we are, and always have been, a meritocracy.” Dozens of companies have followed suit, including Pepsico, Disney, Blackrock, McDonalds, Ford, Walmart and others.

In 2016, Harvard Business School published “Why Do Diversity Programs Fail?” published a report on; that report found that decades of forced diversity efforts have made little progress because research has shown that “force-feeding can enable bias rather than eliminate it.” The situation is the same today.

4. Cops help

You would think it would be obvious that deploying more police would reduce crime. But leftists in the United States insist, based on ideology rather than common sense or evidence, that law enforcement is the problem, not the solution.

THE FAR LEFT HAS TAKEN CONTROL OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY PLATFORM AND IS CLOSING THE VOTER

Trump deployed the National Guard to the streets of DC and the streets became safer. Hochul mobilized the National Guard to protect New York’s subways, and, unsurprisingly, the subways became less dangerous. This isn’t rocket science.

5. “Gender-affirming care”

Allowing young people to permanently change their gender is an act of cruelty that has been outlawed in much of Europe and is currently restricted in 27 states. Activists continue to push for it to be legal, as there is a group in the US that is oddly dedicated to supporting this heinous activity. They are filing a lawsuit to overturn the Supreme Court’s decision. United States / Skrmetti He said the Tennessee law banning gender-affirming care does not constitute discrimination based on sex and does not violate the U.S. Constitution.

The left is determined that underage children can mutilate their own bodies and permanently destroy their ability to reproduce, often without their parents’ knowledge. It’s hard to imagine a more brutal campaign.

Fortunately, common sense prevailed on these five issues in 2025. Let’s hope 2026 continues this trend, perhaps offering wisdom about the recklessness of open borders and the disgrace of our public education system and complicit teachers’ unions.
