Shock jock sues radio network over doomed ‘royal prank’

A “Shock Jock” calling for a joke to a England hospital overlooking Princess Catherine claims that a nurse is not supported by the employer in the fall of suicide death.
Mike Christian and Mel Greig made a presentation at FM on December 4, 2012 at the King Edward VII Hospital in London for 2 days.
At that time, the Duchess of Cambridge was admitted to the hospital for severe morning illness before the birth of his first child.
Christian claims that 2DAY FM was ordered by the production team to call for a joke to the hospital and to mimic Prince Charles and Queen Elizabeth to try to reach the Duchess.
Nurse Jacintha Saldanha died by suicide days after the call for a joke and reacts to the radio hosts and the publisher.
Almost 13 years later, Christian filed a lawsuit against Southern Cross Austereo, the publisher of FM in the federal court for 2 days, and claimed that the firm promised to provide support if the content revealed by the “shock athletes” went too far.
The former radio presenter, who was unnecessary in February, says he believes in these claims, but was disappointed by the organization.
According to the court documents seen by the AAP, the publisher “did not come into play”, instead allowing radio presentations to take the crime, affecting their careers negatively.
Christian and Greig called Southern Cross Austereo and tried to prevent the company from crossing the line, but after suicide, he was left cold.

“SCA did not immediately account for the incident for the incident, but rather, Mr Christian and Mrs. Greig’s death threats, including brutal public vitriol, harassment and abuse,” he wrote.
“Radio servers were left as autumn men and scapegoats suitable for SCA management decisions and incompatibility.”
In an investigation of the death of the nurse in 2014, Greig made an apology by placing the crime in the radio station and commercial radio culture.
SCA’s General Manager Rhys Hollerran during the incident, said that he was concerned about ABC in 2024.
“I have always felt completely and completely responsible for this,” he said.
Christian, Australian Communication and Media Authority, the application of the application of the application of the application of a joke, just two days before the call for a 2 days as the FM server, he said.
In early 2013, the publisher claims that he was told to reclaim his reputation and rebuild his career.

According to the court documents, he continued to work for FM for 2 days and says that he did not do legal proceedings against them because of this promise.
However, the company failed to provide meaningful health support, did not initiate a public relations campaign to rebuild its brand, and could not offer meaningful opportunities to reward its loyalty or pay for payment increases.
Instead, he claims that he was “slowly marginalized” within the organization.
Instead of protecting the lawyers after learning about the upcoming in February, Christian did not signed a statement that prevented the public from talking about his time in the publisher.
According to the court documents, “Mr. Christian claims that the distress is not real, especially when SCA still requires the realization of the old role of Mr. Christian.
Christian is looking for compensation for punishment, economic loss and damage.
The issue is not yet in the federal court.
