Popular bakery brand announces immediate closure and shuts last branch | UK | News

A store beloved by customers has announced that it will close. The popular “best ever” brownie shop is now closing permanently after seven years in business.
Best Ever Brownie Company, run by husband-and-wife team Solance and Craig Poole, was forced to close its doors effective Thursday, January 1. Owners blamed high costs and heartbreaking health concerns for its closure. This comes after many independent businesses struggled with rising costs.
The business has been operating since 2018 and has quickly built a following. During the pandemic, the business took off, selling about 100 boxes of brownies to fans.
Following this success, the couple opened a physical store at Swindon Designer Outlet in January 2022. The company also traded from The Barn Café in Foxham and also ran a café in Coate Water Country Park.
However, the couple shared on social media that The Best Ever Brownie Company is now closing with immediate effect.
In a social media post, they wrote: “This is not the news we were hoping to share as we start a new year.
“It is with great sadness that we share the news that The Best Ever Brownie Company and Barn Café will be closing effective today.”
They added: “Rising costs and the wider economic environment over the past year have made it impossible for us to continue sustainably.”
In the statement, the couple also revealed that one of the founders’ health had deteriorated. Birmingham Live.
The business’s website also thanked customers for their support, saying: “The Best Brownie Company Ever is now closed.
“Thank you for your tradition for the last seven years, we are so grateful for your tradition.”
