Revanth’s Musi Project A Cover For Massive Corruption: KTR

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Friday accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of spreading lies in the Assembly about the Musi river rejuvenation project and “using it as a cover for the biggest corruption conspiracy in the history of Telangana”.
In his statement, Rama Rao said that the Prime Minister had told the Parliament that it would take at least another year to prepare the detailed project report (DPR). “If DPR is not ready, how was the huge estimate of Rs 1.5 lakh crore announced for the project?” he asked
He said the Congress government was preparing for a massive financial plunder in the guise of the project and questioned how important aspects of the project were handed over to Mainhardt, a company that was allegedly blacklisted and facing Red Corner Notices. “How can a company with such a history be entrusted with a project of this scale?” he asked, saying it was a deliberate conspiracy to facilitate corruption.
Rama Rao said the Congress and Telugu Desam governments, which ruled for 60 years, were responsible for turning Musi into a sewage canal. Revanth Reddy served on both sides and said he could no longer deny their legacy.
The BRS leader said the Prime Minister “does not have any vision to clean up Musi” and that Revanth Reddy “has poison coursing through every nerve” as he “questions his alleged illicit wealth and acts angrily against those who oppose the Musi project in its current form”.
