Trump family ‘divided’ on Venezuela raid as Don Jr and Eric loudly celebrate… but Ivanka’s focus is elsewhere
President Donald Trump’s children appeared to have different views on the daring raid on Venezuela.
Following the US strike in the South American country and the arrest of president Nicolas Maduro, Trump’s eldest sons celebrated their father’s victory on social media.
Don Jr went to X on Saturday evening to share that Venezuelan citizens are “euphoric” about their newfound freedom from dictatorship.
“To be fair, there are tens of thousands of Venezuelans in New York and hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans in other cities in America because they had to flee the dictatorial regime there,” wrote Don, who recently got engaged to Bettina Anderson.
‘The Venezuelan people, and all the real Venezuelans I’ve seen in South Florida, are very happy.’
In a post on Facebook, he added: ‘If we have to leave [to] war and sometimes we do. ‘I like my battles to be measured in minutes, not decades.’
Meanwhile, Eric reposted his father’s announcement describing the raid to the world, saying: The “FAFO” (Fuck and Find) era continues, apparently he was proud of his father and his management.
While her siblings were commenting on the big news, Ivanka decided to focus on the past year with an Instagram post showing photos of herself and her loved ones from 2025.

Meanwhile, President Trump’s eldest daughter, Ivanka Trump, remained silent about the raid and instead decided to look back and focus on 2025 as the new year begins.
“We’re starting the year surrounded by family, fresh air, and grateful hearts,” Ivanka wrote alongside a carousel of photos featuring her and husband Jared Kushner, their three children, food, and more.
Trump’s daughter, who previously said that her father would remain in the background during his second term as president, also shared a photo of the bright moon among the clouds.
‘The Wolf Moon is rising,’ he wrote. ‘The January full moon marks the beginning of the new year!’
After her father was re-elected last year, Ivanka said it would not be the first time she would be part of the administration like him.
“I hate politics,” Ivanka previously told Lauryn and Michael Bosstick, hosts of The Skinny Confidential Him & Her podcast.
He also stated that although he is an advocate of ‘politics and influence’, there is a ‘darkness’ in politics that he does not want to be a part of.
Despite this, Ivanka still shows her political support here and there.
When a ceasefire ending the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza was reached in October, Ivanka proudly stood next to Kushner at a rally in Tel Aviv, touting “lasting and lasting peace.”

The 43-year-old, who converted to Judaism in 2009, told the crowd: ‘Tonight we honor the strength of every family that waits, prays and believes. We are all praying for Monday and beyond.
‘I admire their strength and faith despite so much pain… As we begin the next chapter of what will be a lasting and lasting peace for a very long time to come, God willing.’
Ivanka also brought a message to Israelis from her father.
“He sees you, he hears you, he’s always there for you,” he told the crowd to loud cheers.
The crowd chanted “thank you Trump” while holding banners of the hostages and even one of the president’s official portraits.
He concluded his two-minute speech by saying, “We pray that this week will be a week of healing for all of you.” ‘God bless you all for standing together in solidarity during this dark time.’
Although Ivanka tried to stay away from politics, she still remained involved in philanthropy.
In October, he was appointed to the Advisory Board of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, a $100 million project funded in part by the sale of 2026 World Cup tickets.
The president’s daughter proudly shared the news on her Instagram story, listing other board members, including The Weeknd and Shakira, who have criticized the Republican leader.

In addition to the two artists and Ivanka, other stars, including Hugh Jackman, also joined the board.
Professional athletes Serena Williams and former Brazilian football player Kaka are also part of this group, as well as Bank of America Co-President Jim Damare and Fédération Internationale de Football Association president Gianni Infantino.
The group will use their personal experiences to ensure and guide the fund to ‘deliver maximum impact’ ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup this summer.
The goal is to raise $100 million toward education efforts. Global Citizen aims to help 100,000 children in more than 200 countries around the world.
The FIFA World Cup final will be held on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
