Malayalam actor Kannan Pattambi, brother of filmmaker Major Ravi, dies

Malayalam actor and production executive Kannan Pattambi passed away late on Sunday night, January 4, 2025, at a private hospital in Kozhikode, Kerala. He was 61 years old.

He died while receiving treatment for his kidney disease.

Kannan Pattambi was the brother of actor and filmmaker Major Ravi. He was actively involved in the Malayalam film industry for years. He has also appeared in numerous television series and is known for his supporting roles.

Among major film screenings Pulimurugan, Ananhabhadram, Odiyan, keerthichakra, vettam, Crazy Gopalan, Kandahar And 12th Man.

Apart from his acting career, Kannan Pattambi has worked extensively behind the scenes as production controller and executive producer. She was in relationships with many well-known filmmakers, including Shaji Kailas, VK Prakash and Santosh Sivan.

His funeral will be held near his home in Njangattiri near Pattambi on Monday evening.
