State faces ‘catastrophic’ conditions; fires continue to burn at Longwood, Thologolong; mercury set to reach 40 degrees

Residents in Victoria are being urged to exercise caution today as catastrophic and extreme bushfire conditions worsen already out-of-control bushfires.

Two large fires are still burning, one in the Longwood area and the other near Walwa.
